George Perry Lester, age 75 of Murfreesboro died Saturday April 2, 2011. He was a native of Rutherford County and was preceded in death by his father, Richard Lee Lester and step-mother, Melvie Lester. Mr. Lester was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and retired from Home Roofing. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Elodia Lester, children, Perry Lester and wife Jane of Murfreesboro, Shirley Young and husband, John of Murfreesboro, George Lester and wife Shannon of Murfreesboro, Marty Lester and Fianc Shanda Meadows of Smyrna; grandchildren, Tonya, Adam, Kim, Bobby, John Jr., Tiffany, Jennie, Emily, George Bubba , Devin, Brandon, and Maleia; great-grandchildren, Christopher, Austin, Iceeiz, Catarena, Immanuel, Cheyanne. Funeral service will be 11:00AM Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jack Woods and Rev. Dave Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Coleman Cemetery.
