George Samuel Howes age 80 of Murfreesboro, passed away Monday May 11, 2015. A native of Gezira, Egypt he was the son of the late Charles and Helen Condor Howes. He is also preceded in death by his wife Marion Hunt Howes. Mr. Howes is survived by two sons; George David Howes and his wife Debra of Wilson, North Carolina, Chris Howes and his wife Ying of Malaysia, 2 grandchildren; Abigail Ruth Howes and Annabella Grace Howes, a daughter; Joy White of Clarksville. He is also survived by a brother; Patrick Eagin and his wife Nancy of Tullahoma, and a sister Helen Turney and her husband Bill of Chicago. Mr. Howes was in the Untied States Air Force Veteran serving during the Korean War. Visitation will be 2:30pm until 3:30pm Sunday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with graveside service to follow at 4:00pm at Mapleview Cemetery. Reverend James K. Polk Van Zandt will officiate.
