George Dudley Gatewood, age 79 of Murfreesboro passed on Friday October 28, 2016.  He was a native of Collins, MS and the son of the late Harlan and Bessie Thames Gatewood.  He was also preceded in death by a son, Clay Gatewood.

Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.  Pastor Joe Vinson, Dr. Fred Rolater and Rev. Bobby Franklin will officiate.  Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Military Honors.  Family and Friends will serve as Pallbearers.

Visitation will be 3:00 until 6:00 PM Sunday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.

Mr. Gatewood is survived by his wife, Wanda Lovvorn Gatewood, two sons, David Gatewood and his wife Lisa of Christiana, Kelly Gatewood of Murfreesboro, grandchildren, Travis, Melanie, Connor, Kelsey, Harlan, and Samantha Gatewood.

Mr. Gatewood was a member of Southeast Baptist Church and retired from Tennessee Farmers Co-op.  He had served in the U. S. Navy and the Tennessee Army National Guard.

Memorials may be made to Southeast Baptist Church in memory of Mr. Gatewood.
