Gennie Scales, age 77, of Murfreesboro, TN, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 1, 2016. A native of Nolensville, TN, she was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie Buford and Lillie May Byrd Ladd; husband, Henry E. Scales; and siblings, James Ladd, Wayne Ladd, Rufus Ladd, Richard Ladd and Dorothy Rule.

Mrs. Scales is survived by her children, Tracy Curvin and her husband Wendell, Vernon Scales, Wendy Churchwell, grandchildren, Alisha Curvin, Jennifer Cain and her husband Lance, Jason, Christopher, Shonda, Patrick and Corey Scales; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mrs. Scales was a retired housekeeper with the Veterans Administration. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.
