Geneva Bowen Hollins of Murfreesboro died August 15, 2011. Preceded in death by her husband, Alfred P. Hollins, parents, Bessie Webb and J. Clayton Bowen, brothers, Orman and J.T. Bowen and sisters, Elizabeth Burton and Christine Maxfield. Mrs. Hollins is survived by niece, Dawn Burton Rice, nephew, Larry Lee Burton, step-son, Alfred (Valerie) Hollins, Jr., grandchildren, Zach (Nicky) Hollins and Laura Ann Hollins and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hollins retired from the Social Security Administration and was a member of St. Marks United Methodist Church. Services will be at St. Marks at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday and will be conducted by Dr. Craig Goff and Dr. Jim Clardy with interment at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Nashville. Visitation will be 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Marks Building Fund or the charity of your choice.
