GENE BUD MORTON, age 63 died Sunday September 20, 2009. He was a native of Rutherford County. He was the son of the late, Edgar and Beatrice Moody Morton. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Carol Ann Morton, sister, Virginia Hill and Sara Louise Morton, brothers, Edgar Jr. Hopper , Nelson, Spain and Readie Morton. He was retired from MTSU as OTR Motor Coach Driver. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Bob Bush officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Diane Robinson Morton; children, Steven (Charlene) Morton, David Allen (Gail) Morton, Tammy (Matt) ODonnell; grandchildren, Danielle ODonnell, Courtney ODonnell, and Bethanie Morton; brother, James Butch (Judy) Morton; sister, Mary Ann Sewell, Lillie (John) Walls, and several nieces and nephews.
