Gene Hosse, age 73 of Murfreesboro, formerly of Gallatin, died Tuesday at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital. He was born in Davidson County and was a son of the late Alfred and Katherine Hosse. He was also preceded by a brother, Jess Hosse.

Survivors include a brother, William "Bill" Hosse of Smyrna; nephews, Ron Hosse of Gallatin, Dan Hosse (Sandy), and Michael Hosse (Cindy), all of Murfreesboro; Steve Hosse (Tina) of Rockvale; a neice, Karen Hosse-Draper of Murfreesboro; and a host of other loving family and friends.

Mr. Hosse was a graduate of East High School and attended MTSU. He was a U.S. Army veteran and attended World Outreach Church. Through the years he owned several businesses including, Nashville Tire and Battery, Inglewood Hardware and Lumber Co., Nashville Paneling, and Gene Hosse and Associates Construction.

Visitation will be Monday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Graveside services will follow at 3:00 p.m. Monday at Springhill Cemetery, Gallatin Road.
