Hattie Gayle Walden age 76 of Smyrna, passed away Friday December 12, 2014. A native of DeKalb County, she was the daughter of the late Ephriam and Vella Young Looney. She is also preceded in death by two brothers; Jack Looney and Lynn Looney. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Monday at Woodfin Chapel Smyrna with Reverend Tommy Ward officiating. Burial will be in Mapelview Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Mrs. Walden is survived by her husband of 57 years; Elbert "Cotton" Walden, Sons; Kenny Walden of Smyrna, David Walden Sr. and his wife Paula of Knoxville, Daughter; Kathy Runge and her husband Brad of LaVergne, Grandsons; David Walden Jr. and his wife Sarah of Fort Hood, Texas, Brett Runge of LaVergne, and Great-Grandson; David Walden III. She is also survived by her sisters; Thelma Hayes of Murfreesboro, Dot Moore and her husband Howard of Smyrna, Fay Fann and her husband Bill of Murfreesboro, and a Brother; Andy Looney of Milton. Visitation will be 2:00pm until 6:00pm Sunday at Woodfin Chapel Smyrna.
