Gary Kent Smith, Sr., age 85 of Beechgrove died Tuesday September 22, 2020, after short illness. He was a native of Fayetteville, TN and was the son of the late, Wesley Emerson Smith and Annie Ebby Spurlock Smith. He was of the Baptist Faith, a veteran of the United States Air Force and was retired from Bridgestone in La Vergne.

Mr. Smith is survived by his wife of 65 years, Sue Smith, son, Daughter; Vickie Smith Staton and husband Robert of Murfreesboro, son; Gary Smith, Jr. and wife Lisa of La Vergne, son; Joseph Smith and wife Lisa of Charlotte; grandchildren, Gary Kent Smith III, Victoria Paige Smith, Austin Tyler Smith, Kandi Nichole Johnson, Krista Anne Smith; great-grandchildren, Ella, Kamille, Georgie, Melody, Alex.
