Gary D. Hicklen, age 65, of Murfreesboro, died Monday, August 13, 2012. He was a native of Lawrence County, TN and the son of the late Sylvan B. Hicklen and Bertha Boyd Marston. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Janet Darlene Sandusky Hicklen. Funeral service will be 10:00am Friday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Rev. Dr. Keith Duncan will officiate. Graveside service will be 1:00pm Friday at Shaw Cemetery, Lawrenceburg, TN. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Heather and Matthew Mills of Murfreesboro, Michele and Keith Duncan of Virginia Beach, VA, sister, Betty Jo Franklin of Lawrenceburg, grandchildren, Jordan Mills, Gavin Mills, and Judah Duncan, and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Hicklen was a retired building maintenance supervisor with Yates Services at Nissan.
