Mr. Garland L. Robertson, age 85, of Murfreesboro, TN passed away Monday, October 9, 2017. He was born on June 18, 1932 to B.L. and Bessie Davenport Robertson. Mr. Robertson was a 1950 graduate of North High School in Nashville, TN and attended David Lipscomb University and Middle Tennessee State University. He had a lengthy career in the printing industry as President and CEO of Courier Printing Company in Murfreesboro and Smyrna, TN. Mr. Robertson enjoyed going fishing and golfing in his spare time. He was an excellent golfer and he took pride in sharing his hobbies with his children and grandchildren. Mr. Robertson was an avid Blue Raider fan and assisted with commentary and statistics. He also liked gospel music and singing with family and friends.

Mr. Robertson is survived by his wife of 67 years, Joyce Elaine Evans Robertson; four children, Mona Lee and her husband John of Spring Hill, TN, Robin Robertson and his wife Kathy, Ron Robertson and his wife Linda, and Rita Couch and her husband Steve all of Murfreesboro; son-in-law, Andrew Nelson; eight grandchildren, Laura Ernst and her husband Christian, Jack Lee and his wife Megan, Kyle Robertson, Brian Robertson, Robert Nelson, Paul Robertson, Sarah Robertson, and Loren Couch; and two great-grandchildren, Eli Ernst and Martha Rose Ernst. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Becky Robertson Nelson.

Visitation with the family will be Saturday, October 14, 2017 from 1:00pm until 2:00pm at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. A celebration of life will be Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 2:00pm at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Rev. Sally Hughes will officiate. Honorary pall bearers will be Jimmy Earl, Tommy Bragg, Bobby Alexander, Richard Hendricks, Paul Darden, Bob West, and Larry Burks.
