GAINES GRADY WELCH age 70 of Lavergne, died Sunday. A native of Cumberland County, he was the son of the late Grady Curtis and Lois Gwendolyn Duvall Welch. Mr. Welch served in the U.S. Army during 1959 and 1962. He retired from the United Trailer Corporation in 1998. He is survived by his wife of 43 years Hazel Louise Welch, daughter Pam (Ray) Burchell of Lavergne, sons Larry (Tammy) Welch of GA, Darrell (Amy) Welch of Powell, TN , brothers Sammy (Jean) Welch, Jerry (Dot) Welch, Junior Welch, sister Virginia (David) Hendrix, and eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded by Brother Jimmy Welch and a sister Sheila Brimm. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
