Fredrick Ritter, age 70 of Mt. Juliet died Thursday at his home surrounded by his family. He was a native of Iota, Louisiana and a son of the late Hubert and Rose Ritter. He was preceded in death by his wife Thelma in 2005, a brother Ray Johnson and a daughter in law Mary Katherine Ritter. Mr. Ritter is survived by his sons, Randy Ritter of Shelbyville, Scott Ritter and his wife Gina of Lascassas and Chad Ritter and his wife Colleen of Hermitage; grandchildren Dylan, Caitlyn, Jessica, Ashley, Hunter, and Faith Ritter; brothers Kenneth Ritter of Nederland, TX, Al Ritter of Crowley, LA and Lionel Ritter of Iota, LA. Mr. Ritter was a member of the Catholic faith and attended Church at the Sisters of Mercy Convent in Donelson. He was a United States Air Force Veteran and owner of Nashville Marble Co. and Ritter Properties. He was a man of many talents in business and in life. He was straight forward, honest and you always knew where you stood. He valued honesty, integrity and was a genuine friend to those in all walks of life. Visitation will be Sunday from 3:00 until 7:00pm at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be held 10:00 am Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
