Frederick "Fred" G. Watson III, age 78, of Murfreesboro, TN died on Tuesday, March 24, 2015. A native of Pearl River, NY he was the son of the late Frederick G. Watson II and Mary Earley Watson. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Louisa Oaks Watson; son, Frederick G. Watson IV; and two brothers, Charles and John Watson. A funeral mass will be held on Monday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Father Nicholas Allen will officiate. Frederick is survived by his two daughters, Marie Elizabeth Watson and Kathleen Watson both of Murfreesboro; step-son, Warren Henry Peter of SC; grandson, Dylan Watson of Murfreesboro, TN; brother, Jude Watson and his wife Maureen of Pearl River, NY; two sisters, Mary Catabui and her husband Antonio of Dale City, VA and Ann Roach and her husband Robert of Harrington, ME; and cousin, Esther Martin of Boxford, MA; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins across the United States. Frederick was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. He held a Master's Degree and was a Latin Professor for several years. Eventually he retired as a security guard. Frederick loved life but most importantly taking care of his family. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Memorials can be made to The Salgi Esophageal Cancer Research Foundation in memory of Mr. Watson. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 6:00 p.m. all at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
