Obituary

Freddie R Moore, age 77, passed away on July 2, 2023, in Nashville, TN. He was born on July 11, 1945, in Texarkana, TX. Fred was a faithful member of Faith Life Church in Nashville, TN and the World Outreach Church in Murfreesboro, TN, where he actively shared his resources and time to help others learn about Christ and find freedom in Christ's love.

Freddie is survived by his beloved wife, Janice Moore, and his children Regina Bolds of Richmond, CA, Kristi Moore of Vallejo, CA, and Sean Moore of Vallejo, CA. He is also survived by his two bonus daughters, Tanisha (Chris) Souza of Oahu, HI, and Temia (Anthony) Thompson of (The Colony, TX). Freddie leaves behind a legacy of love, as he was blessed with 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. He is survived by his sister, Betty Ellis of Henderson, NV, Ida Johnson of Clarksville, TN, and his brother, Bryant Wayne Moore of Clarksville, TN.

Freddie graduated from Berkeley High School in the Class of 1963. Following his graduation, Freddie served in the Air Force from February 9, 1964, to February 10, 1968, as a trained Jet Engine Mechanic. His enlistment in the Air Force took him to Thailand and other areas in South-East Asia.

After his military service, Freddie worked for the City of Berkeley as a refuge collector. However, his greatest accomplishment was his career as an independent carpet contractor in the construction industry. Through his work, Fred mentored and taught several young men the importances of work ethics and the skills of the trade. Later, when he moved to Tennessee, Freddie joined Home Depot, where he utilized his expertise in flooring to assist customers in their personal do-it-yourself projects.

Freddie's life was marked by his unwavering faith and dedication to his church. He found solace and inspiration at the World Outreach Church in Murfreesboro, TN and Faith Life Church in Nashville, TN.

Freddie R Moore will be remembered for his selfless acts of kindness, his commitment to connecting his family, and his contributions to his community. His memory will forever be cherished by all those whose lives he touched.
