Fred Lewis Morgan, age 86 of Murfreesboro died Thursday July 18, 2013. He was a native of Deason Tennessee and was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Jean Morgan and also by parents, Mary Lou Prater Morgan and Luther V. Morgan; brothers, Charles, Robert and James. Mr. Morgan had served in the United States Air Force and retired service manager in auto dealerships. He was a member of Stones River Antique Automobile Club and loved attending car shows, restoring antique trucks and raising a vegetable garden. Mr. Morgan is survived by son, Billy Morgan and wife Margie of Christiana; son, Don Morgan of Birmingham; daughter, Freda Morgan of Murfreesboro; grandson Jeff of Shelbyville; two great-grandchildren, Taylor and Ben and several nephews. Family is grateful to the staff at Tennessee State Veterans Home for their care. Memorials may be made in memory of Mr. Morgan to Tennessee State Veterans Home Attention Activities Department; P.O. Box 10299 Murfreesboro, TN 37129 Funeral service will be 3PM Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with John Hembree officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
