Fred J. Hicks, age 83, of Murfreesboro, died Friday, September 28, 2012. He was a native of Jellico, TN and the son of the late Charles and Lillian Hicks. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Joy Maxine Hicks. Funeral service will be 5 p.m., Sunday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, Murfreesboro, TN. Graveside service will be 11 a.m., Tuesday at Wofford Cemetery in Williamsburg, KY. He is survived by his sons, Tim Hicks of Columbia, TN and Darryl Hicks of MI; daughters, Debbie (Fred) Wells of Spring Wells, TN, April (Steve) Wilson of Murfreesboro and Pamela Hicks of Columbia; grandchildren, Shannon Hicks, Matthew Hicks, David (Sarah) Owens, April (Tommy) Inman, Shane (Tiffany) Wilson and Jeremy (Cherish) Wilson; great grandchildren, Jordan Cole, Brianna Cole, Makaia Hicks, J.D. Owens, Sydney Owens, Tyler Morris, Shawn Hill, Sean Baird, Zach Owens, Jackie Irvin, Amanda Irvin, Stephanie Irvin, Scotty Inman, Zoee Wilson and Eli Wilson.
