FRANKYE OLEAVIA POLK ADAMS, age 93, of Smyrna passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 28, 2009. She was born December 3, 1915 in Jefferson Davis County, Mississippi. Ms. Adams was preceded in death by her daughter, Carolyn Adams Vogler, her son-in-law, Captain James Kenneth Vogler, Sr., her sister, Flossy Belle Polk Fiener, her brothers, Owens Banks Polk, Carly Baxter Polk, Willie Ottis Polk, her husband, Oscar Grandberry Adams, Jr. and her parents, Effie Polk and Henry Lee Polk. She is survived by her grandsons, Michael King Vogler and James Kenneth Vogler, Jr.; great grandchildren, Anna Elizabeth Vogler and Michael Crosslin Vogler all of Smyrna. Entombment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens at a later date. She was a retired registered nurse with the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.
