Franklin D. Ratcliff age 70 died October 29, 2011 at his home in Smyrna. Mr. Ratcliff was the son of the late Oliver Andrew and Blanche Madeline Lucas Ratcliff. Funeral service will be Tuesday 2:00 PM at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Pastor John Heardman will officiate. Burial will follow at Mapleview Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Mr. Ratcliff is survived by his wife Virginia Ann of Smyrna; son Franklin Ratcliff, Jr. of Smyrna; daughter Karen Sue Herring of Smyrna; sister Shelia Culpepper and brother Perry Ratcliff both of Michigan; three grandchildren and two great-granchildren.
