Frankie Short, age 81, of Murfreesboro, TN, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 14, 2018. A native of Rutherford County, she was preceded in death by her parents Bennie and Annie Rowland Potts; and her sisters, Ruthene Potts, Aline Hall, and Eudera Potts.

Funeral services will be Monday, June 18, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Brother Mike Lamb will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Charlie Short; daughter, Jackie Jonas of Murfreesboro; and sisters, Bessie Lane of Murfreesboro and Faye Yazemboski of Shickshinny, PA.

Mrs. Short was a member of Holly Grove Baptist Church. For several years she was a private sitter and enjoyed her time helping and take care of others. Hunting and fishing were some of her hobbies she loved but she also took pride in crocheting and embroidery work. Mrs. Short was very talented and could do anything when it came to crafts. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

The family gives a special thanks to all the staff and caregivers at Broadmore Assisted Living for their love and care given to her.

Memorials in memory of Mrs. Short can be made to the Murfreesboro Alive Hospice.

Visitation will be Monday, June 18, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
