Frank Melara, age 90 of Murfreesboro, died Monday May 2, 2011. He was a native of Amsterdam New York and was preceded in death by his wife, Eva Romaine Melara; sons, Thomas and Frank Melara; his parents, Fortunato and Catherine Polifroni Melara. Mr. Melara was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and was a retired Farmer. He was a World War II Veteran. Mr. Melara is survived by daughters, Nancy Gwinn and husband James of Murfreesboro, Cathy Pipitone and husband Philip of Sparta; sons, Joseph Melara and wife Sheryl of North Carolina, Raymond Melara and wife Susan of Florida; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
