Frank Edward Franklin

Frank Edward Franklin, age 80 of Smyrna died Friday August 7, 2026. He was a native of Rutherford County, and was a preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Franklin; parents Frank M. Franklin, and Drusilla Haithcock Franklin; grandson, Benjamin Sterling.

Mr. Franklin was a member of Florence Baptist Church and was a retired police officer having worked from Smyrna Police Department and Rutherford County Sherriff Department.

Mr. Franklin is survived by his daughters, Melissa Sterling and fiance Aude Williams, Kimberly Franklin; grandson, Jacob Sterling and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday August 11th 10:00AM until 2:00 PM at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Funeral service will be Tuesday August 11th 2:00 PM at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Trey Gambill will officiate. A private burial will be held at a later date in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. www.woodfinchapel.com
