Frank T. Callaway, Jr., age 77 of Smyrna died suddenly on October 6, 2015. He was a native of Georgia and was a long time member of Smyrna Church of Christ, and an avid golfer. Mr. Callaway was one of the first employees of Nissan and retired in 2006. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Janis Bays Callaway; one son, Greg Callaway of Smyrna; sisters, Mary Varallo and husband Johnny of Mt. Juliet, Betty King and husband John of Auburntown. Mr. Callaway was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Callaway, Sr. and Ethel Ring Callaway, father -in-law, and mother-in-law, Brother James C. Bays and Ellen Velara Bays. Funeral service will be 11AM Friday at Smyrna Church of Christ. Brother Tim Lavender, Rob Hartman, and Dick Weber will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to funeral service on Friday, and 4PM-8PM Thursday at Smyrna Church of Christ.
