FRANK E. BLACKBURN, age 84 of Milton died Friday December 12, 2008. He was a native of Bedford County. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arledge and Emma Winegar Blackburn, wife, Gladys Blackburn, and grandson, James Thomas Willman. Visitation will be 3:00PM to 7:00PM Sunday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be 10:00AM Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Bro. Herb Alsup officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. He is survived by his children, Jimmy Blackburn of Milton, Elaine (John) Robertson of St. Louis MO, Joy (Larry) Taylor of Woodbury, Michael (Barbara) Blackburn of Milton, and Beverly Johnson of Smyrna, brother, Oscar Blackburn of Georgia, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mr. Blackburn was a Graduate of Wartrace High School and a Navy Veteran of WWII. He was retried from A & P Grocery and Dryden Meat Packing. He was lifelong farmer, horse and cattle lover, and enjoyed trail riding for over 25 years. He was a devoted father and member of Church of Christ.
