FRANCES LESTER SMITH, age 90 of Murfreesboro, died Saturday, March 27, 2010. She was a native of Wilson County and the daughter of the late N.J. and Eva Jewell Bryan. Graveside service will be 3:00 PM Wednesday at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Bro. Wayne Watson will officiate. She is survived by her sons, Delbert (Betty) Lester, Thomas Alvin Lester, and daughter, Faye Lester all of Murfreesboro, sister, Eura Ball McCorkle of Old Hickory, grandchildren, Mark Lester, Debra Holman, Thomas Lester, Jr, Renee Russell, Vickie Lester, Jessica Harris, Mike Rooker, and Jennifer Rogers, great grandchildren, Rob Holman, Matt Holman, Rachel Lester, Charlie T. Lester, Campbell Lester, Alex Russell, Jeffery Russell, Tiara Woodard, Blake Rogers, and Sam Rogers. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husbands, Charlie Thomas Lester who died in 1963 and Azariah Smith who died in 1991, three brothers, Ira, Harbert and Jewell Bryan, and three sisters, Verda Wilson, Alamintia Bringhurst, and Kittie Bryan. Mrs. Smith was a member of Bellwood Baptist Church and attended Walter Hill School. Grandsons will serve as Pallbearers.
