Frances Victoria "Fran" Phetterplace, age 95, of Smyrna passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2013. She was a native of Jamaica, New York and the daughter of the late Michael and Kay Katherine Szemska Wojtkiewicz. Funeral service will be 11:00am Wednesday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Graveside service will be 1:00pm Wednesday at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Jane Phetterplace of Smyrna, grandchildren, Amy and Danny, great grandchild, Lucas and sister, Veronica Skowronski. Mrs. Phetterplace was a WWII veteran serving in the Women's Army Corps and later retired from Sears after 30 years of service.
