Frances P. Parker, age 89, of Murfreesboro, passed away Friday, May 3, 2013. A native of Knoxville, TN she was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Jessie Hodge Pappas. She was also preceded in death by a sister and four brothers. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:00PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Pastor Thad Austin will officiate. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Mrs. Parker is survived by her son, John I. Parker III; daughter, Paige Parker Scott and her husband Mike; two grandchildren, John "Isen" Parker IV and Shelby Scott, all of Murfreesboro; sister, Judy Comer of Maryville, TN; three brothers, Gene Pappas and his wife Nedra of Granbury, TX, Max Pappas of Crestwood, KY, and Pete Pappas and his wife Jan of Hoschton, GA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family would like to offer their appreciation to NHC and Caris Hospice for the love and care given to Mrs. Parker. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Caris Hospice at 242 Heritage Park Dr. Ste 101 Murfreesboro, TN 37129. Visitation with the family will be Monday from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
