Frances Riggs Nance, age 87, of Rockvale, died Sunday, June 3, 2012. She was a native of San Diego, CA and the daughter of the late Walter E. and Mildred Wheeler Riggs, Sr. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Wesley Nance, who died in 2005, and a brother, Walter E. Riggs, Jr. Funeral service will be 2:00pm Wednesday at Woodfin Funeral Chapel, Murfreesboro. Pastor Joyce Merritt will officiate. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Joy and Kenneth Noack of Atlanta, GA, Mary Lou and Allan deMille of Rockvale, Karen and Jan Randle of Rockvale, sister, Bette Bernard of Riverside, CA, grandchildren, Shannon, Erin, Emily, Jason, great grandchildren, Sutherlan, Christian, Ethan, Kaitlyn, Patrick, Xander, and Amelia Jayne, and her faithful friend, Sammy. Mrs. Nance was a member of the Rockvale Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 6:30pm Tuesday at Woodfin Funeral Chapel, 615-893-5151.
