Mrs. Frances Neeley McCarty, age 85, of Murfreesboro, TN passed away Friday, October 27, 2017. She was a native of Shelbyville, TN and was a daughter of the late Raymond and Annie Sissom Neeley. Mrs. McCarty was a 1950 graduate of Shelbyville Central High School and attended MTSU. She was a secretary for Judge Clayton for 25 years before her retirement and was of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. McCarty is survived by her husband of 54 years, James Carlton McCarty; brother, Bobby Joe Neeley of Florida; grandson, Ralph Alan Carlton, II and his wife Jamie of Lascassas, TN; and two great-grandsons, Lane Alan Carlton and Lucas James Carlton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Ralph Alan Carlton and Roger Aric McCarty; step-daughter, Judith Faye McCarty Pope; and sister, Sarah Juanita West.

Memorials may be made to Hillview Baptist Church, 3113 Lascassas Pike, Murfreesboro, TN 37130 in memory of Mrs. McCarty.

Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, October 31, 2017 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be Wednesday, November 1, 2017 2:00pm at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Bro. Tom Brantley will officiate. Entombment will take place at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
