Frances Holt

Frances Nevada Cover Holt, 94, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee died Monday, May 4, 2026, at Life Care Center of Hickory Woods. She was born on November 9, 1931 in Wapello, Iowa to the late Rolla Verne Cover and Nevada Clarice Fisher Cover. She was married to her husband, Carl Kenneth Holt from 1950 until his death in 2007. She was also preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Kitty-Lynn Chandler Holt, sisters Joanne Barra and Donna Adams, brother Jim Cover, and sister-in-law Carolyn Johnson.

She is survived by her sons, Kent Holt of Prague, Czech Republic and Phil Holt of Murfreesboro; granddaughter, Tyson Lannon and husband John of Raleigh, NC; grandsons, Anthony Holt of Prague, and Chandler Holt, wife Kyra, and great grandson Charlie Holt of Longmont, CO; sister Mary Kelly of TX; brother Richard Cover of San Jose, CA; sister-in-law Marilyn Merritt of Wichita, KS; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Frances was a member of Methodist churches during her lifetime and retired from NationMark, Inc. as a Vice President of Human Resources in Fort Worth, TX.

Visitation with the Holt family will be at Woodfin Memorial Chapel on Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 3:00 pm until the time of a memorial service beginning at 5:00 pm.
