Tommy Martin Jr., age 73, of Smyrna, died Wednesday, December 5, 2012. A native and longtime resident of Nashville, TN he was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd T. Martin Sr. and Emma Jean Stacy Martin. Funeral services will be Saturday at 1:00PM at Woodfin Funeral Chapel in Smyrna, TN. Dr. Lenny Farmer will officiate. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with a graveside at 3:00PM with military honors. Mr. Martin is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Julia Rooker Martin; six children, Floyd T. Martin III, Kim McCall, Julie Howe and her husband, Phillip, Jeanne Schroder and her husband Rick, Juanita Bortnick and her husband Kevin and Joe Romines and his wife Jessica; one brother, Freddy Martin and his wife Peggy; four sisters, Betty Nollner, Rosie Green, Marian Thomas and Carolyn Hiles and her husband Tony; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Martin was a member of Cornerstone Church and attended LifePoint Church. He was a retired clerk with the Davidson County Sheriffs Department and served in the United States Army. Mr. Martins nephews will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Salvation Army Red Shield Kids Club. (631 Dickerson Rd.
