Floyd B. Dennis Sr, passed peacefully on Tuesday, November 14, 2017. A native of Stewart County, TN he was the son of the late John and Etha Joiner Dennis. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Dorothy, Edna and Frances; and his brothers, Herschel and Marshall.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna. Rev. Loyd Mabry will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

He is survived by his children, Floyd Dennis Jr. and his wife Gina of LaVergne, TN; Kim Picklesimer and her husband Steve of Murfreesboro, TN; grandchildren, Jessica Dennis of Smyrna, Autumn Dennis of St. Louis, MO, Sean Picklesimer and Stephanie Picklesimer both of Murfreesboro; sisters, Brooksie Brake of Carlisle, TN and Gail Baran of Texas; and brothers, Bobby Dennis and Johnny Dennis both of Carlisle, TN; along with many nieces, nephews and loving friends.

Mr. Dennis was a retired Conductor with CSX Railroad. He was a proud veteran having served in the U.S. Army. He was a proud member and Past Master of Sam Davis Masonic Lodge # 661, the Order of the Eastern Star, Sam Davis Chapter No. 290, the Nashville Scottish Rite, the Murfreesboro York Rite Bodies and the Al Menah Shriner's Temple in Nashville.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Memorials in memory of Mr. Dennis can be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Children at 2900 Rocky Point Dr. Tampa, FL 33607.

Visitation will be Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna. A Masonic Funeral Service will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
