Obituary

Mrs. Florence Crockett Sanford age 93 formally of Murfreesboro died Sunday April 15, 2012 in Forsyth, Georgia. Mrs. Sanford was a native of Murfreesboro and was the daughter of the late Harry Bell and Mamie Gertrude Elam Crockett. She was also preceded in death by her husband William D. Snooks Sanford who died in 2007, and a sister Frances Steelman. Funeral services with be at 11:30 AM Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Dr. Eugene Codey will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Mrs. Sanford is survived by her nephew David Steelman and his wife Brittany of Millageville, GA. Three nieces Betty Thompson and her husband John of Forsyth, GA, Patsy Bass and her husband Sonny of Millageville, GA and Nancy Womack and her husband Larry of Millageville, GA. Ten great nieces and nephews and 13 great great nieces and nephews. Mrs. Sanford was a member of First Baptist Church and was employed as Office manager of South Central Bell for more than forty years prior to her retirment. She was a 1937 graduate of Murfreesboro Central High School. Friends will service Pallbearers. Condolences may be made at www.woodfinchapel.com 615-893-5151.
