Florence Strickland Hammock, age 83 of Murfreesboro died Wednesday March 28, 2012. She was a native of Dalton, Georgia, and was preceded in death by her parents, P.P. Otis and Cornelia Stansell Clement, first husband, Tom Strickland, second husband Benjamin Hammock and his son, Gregory Hammock. Mrs. Hammock was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church in Smyrna Georgia and was retired from the Bank of Smyrna. She is survived by her children; Phylis Faircloth and husband Leon of Murfreesboro; Tommy Strickland and wife Debbie of Franklin; Butch Strickland of Dalton Georgia; and twin sister, Francis Bailey of Dalton Georgia; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be 3:00PM Saturday at Love Funeral Home in Dalton Georgia. Burial will follow in Dawnville Cemetery in Dawnville Georgia.
