Finis Jackson Turner, Jr. age 74 of Smyrna, died Saturday, December 23, 2017. He was a native of McMinnville and a son of the late Finis Jackson Turner, Sr. and Dorothy Hillis Turner. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Turner.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Christine Whitman Turner; son, Grant Turner of McMinnville; daughters, Melissa Burkett and husband Dan of Murfreesboro, Cheryl Walden and husband Brandon, Penny Brown and husband Tim, all of Smyrna; grandchildren, Brandon Jennings, Hannah and Josh Francis; three great grandchildren, Landon and Addison Jennings and Kingston Francis; a sister, Carlene Henry of Murfreesboro; and a host of other loving family and friends.

Mr. Turner retired as a security guard from Nissan in Smyrna.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna with Bro. Dan Dale officiating. Burial will follow in Mapleview Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
