Obituary

Fayola Clark Mankin, age 87, died Thursday, January 31, 2013 at AdamsPlace. Mrs. Mankin was a native of Jackson County and daughter of the late Mell A. and Bettye Canter Clark. She was also preceded in death by her husband William R. Mankin who died in 1998, and a son Robert James Mankin who died in 1953. Funeral service will be Sunday 2:00 PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Bro. Tony Holt and grandsons will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Mrs. Mankin is survived by a son Joe William Mankin and his wife Debbie of Murfreesboro; daughters Linda Wilson and her husband Bob Pliha of McMinnville, Nancy Bagwell and her husband Sam of Murfreesboro; grandchildren Jeff (LaDonna) Thurston, Vanessa (Bryan) Ritter, Keith (Jamie) Bagwell, Justin (Bethany) Bagwell, Catherine Bagwell, Joseph (Courtney) Mankin, and Aaron (Sloan) Mankin; eight great-grandchildren Ashley and Will Ritter, Connor, Sydney and Ellen Thurston, Isaiah and Leah Bagwell, and Noland Mankin. Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 PM Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Mrs. Mankin was a member of Bellwood Church of Christ. She was a 1943 graduate of Jackson County High School and attended Middle Tennessee State University. The family would like to express appreciation to the staff of AdamsPlace, Caris Healthcare and to Dr. Stephen Odom for the loving care of Mrs. Mankin during her prolonged illness.
