FANNIE RUTH MESSICK INSELL, age 77, of Murfreesboro died Friday at National Health Care Center. She was a native of Rutherford County and the daughter of the late Sidney Richard & Jane (Jenny) Hill Messick. She is survived by her husband Sam Levi Insell, Jr.; son, Douglas Lynn (Lynn) Insell, Readyville; daughters, Connie Lou Insell, Murfreesboro and Bonnie (Larry) Anderson, Rockvale; sister, Mary K. Simpson Adams, Murfreesboro; brothers, Cleve Messick and Grady Messick of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Jamie Insell, Blake Insell, Beth Moore and Kristin Pendergrast; great grandchild, Christopher Moore. Funeral services 1 pm Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Nathan Hale and Dave Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be 2-6 pm Sunday. Mrs. Insell was preceded in death by her brothers, Wiley Messick, Rev. Frank Messick, Roy Messick, M. C. Messick and a sister, Edith Lou Jones. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and a homemaker. Active Pallbearers will be Blake Insell, Brent Pendergrast, Larry Anderson, Jerry Messick, Ronald Simpson and Sidney Adams.
