FANNIE BELLE GANNON, born January 10, 1916, went home to be with the Lord October 21, 2010. She was the oldest living member of Walter Hill First Baptist Church. Ms. Gannon was a lifelong resident of the Leanna Community who attended both Bethel and Walter Hill School. She is preceded in death by her parents Lum and Annie Gannon, sisters, Mary Nelle Arms and Annie Elizabeth Haynes, nephews, Buck and Jackie Arms, and niece Mary Dillon. Funeral service will be 2:00pm Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Jimmy Arms will officiate. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Ms. Gannon is survived by a sister, Kathleen Gilley, brother, James Boyd Gannon, nieces, Helen Davis, Frances Leyhew, Sarah Garner, nephews, Roy, A.C., Jerry, and Butch Gilley, Ronnie and James Ray Gannon, numerous great nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Walter Hill Baptist Church Building Fund.
