Fannie Batey age 93 of Smyrna passed away Thursday September 11, 2014. A native of Halls Hill, she was the daughter of the late Aubrey and Flossie Pittard Richardson. She is also preceded in death by her first husband of 27 years; Joe Casey, sister; Dorothy Bugg and brother-in-law; Dayton Bugg. Funeral service will be 2:00pm Sunday at Woodfin Chapel Smyrna, with Joshua Pappas officiating. Great nephews will serve as pallbearers with Elders, Deacons and members of Highland Heights Church of Christ serving as honorary pallbearers. Entombment will be 10:00am Monday at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Batey is survived by her husband of 28 years; Bobby Batey, nephews; Jimmy Bugg and his wife Joyce of Woodbury, David Bugg and his wife Carolyn of Dandridge. She is also survived by her great nieces and nephews; Cindy Haley, Sandra Whitesell and her husband Alan, Tabitha Jenkins and her husband Greg, Nathan Bugg, Joshua Haley, Whitney Haley, Stephen Haley, Ryan Haley, Brandon Campbell, McAkenzie Cason, and a great-great nephew; Andrew Jenkins. Mrs. Batey was a member of Highland Heights Church of Christ. Visitation will be 4:00pm until 8:00pm Saturday at Woodfin Chapel Smyrna.
