Evonna Peterson, age 97, of Smyrna, TN, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 17, 2017. A native of Hornwell, NY, she was preceded in death by her parents, Clayton Harlow and Mary Osborne Ploss; husband, Samuel A. Peterson; and daughter, MaryAnnn Eyster; sister,  Evelyn Louise Jackson and her husband Milton.

A memorials service will be held Sunday, October 29, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at  the First United Methodist Church in Smyrna. Rev. Felicia Kumar will officiate.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Chris King and her husband Charles of Smyrna and Mike Eyster and his wife Christina of Murfreesboro; great-grandchildren, Bradley and Caitlyn King of Smyrna and Elizabeth Eyster of Murfreesboro; and sisters, Venecia M. Charles and Wilda Esther Peterson.

Mrs. Peterson was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Smyrna.
