CHRIS RITTER, age 65, of Murfreesboro, Tn. went to be with the Lord on November 9, 2008 after a courageous four month battle with cancer. She was born in Ripley, Ms. and was preceded in death by her father, Cecil Murphy. She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Jimmy Ritter; mother, Earnestine Murphy, Ripley, Ms.; daughter, Debbie Ritter of Nashville; son, Bryan (Vanessa) Ritter of Auburntown, Tn.; sisters, Betty Jo Bullock, Greenfield, Ohio and Patricia A. (Billy) McBryde of Ripley, Ms.; brothers, James Allen (Martha) Murphy of Ripley, Ms. and Frankie E. (Becky) Murphy of Iuka, Ms.; grandchildren, William James Ritter and Ashley Jordan Ritter. Funeral services 1:30 pm Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Dr. Dean Sisk officiating. Visitation with the family will be 4-7 pm Tuesday. Burial in Milton Cemetery. Mrs. Ritter was a member of Belle Aire Baptist Church, a retired hair stylist in Murfreesboro with a loving and loyal following.
