EVELYN WEBB MATTHEWS, age 66, died Tuesday, January 05, 2010 at Alive Hospice at St. Thomas. A native of Tompkinsville, KY she was the daughter of the late Paul Chapman and Nadine Rich Kyle. She is also preceded in death by a grandchild; Jamie Burris. Services will be held Thursday at Woodfin Chapel Smyrna at 1 PM with Brother Tim Lavender officiating. Internment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Matthews is survived by her daughter and son in law; Tina and Ryan Turner of Smyrna, TN., three sons and daughters in law; James Clinton Burris of Columbia, TN, Mark and Michelle Burris of Indianapolis, and Philip Wayne Booker and Louise Anderson of Columbia, TN., her ex-husband; Philip Ray Booker, five grandchildren; Katherine Campbell, Zachary and Stephanie Burris, and Aaron and Carson Turner, and four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Matthews was a member of the Smyrna Church of Christ and was a retired technician from General Electric in Murfreesboro. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
