EVERETTE CHESTER BOTSFORD age 81 of Smyrna, died Friday April 9, 2010. A native of Poultney, Vermont he was the son of the late Chester and Thelma Deane Botsford. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Janet Kopfmann Botsford, daughter, Sheryl (Jeffrey) Bootier of LaVergne, son, Thomas (Lori) Botsford of New York, seven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother Donald Botsford. Mr. Botsford was a U S Navy veteran who served during the Korean War and was retired from IBM as a customer engineer. A Memorial Service will be held 6:00 p.m. Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church of Smyrna with Pastor Megan Ritchie officiating. Memorials may be made to the Make A wish Foundation, American Cancer Society, and to First Presbyterian Church of Smyrna.
