Everett R. (Eli) Wilt, 81, of Murfreesboro, TN passed away on December 2, 2019 at Alvin C York VA Medical Center.
Born March 14, 1938 in Jefferson County, West Virginia, he was the son of Everett E and Myrtle Eliza (Ott) Wilt. He proudly served in the US Air Force for eight years.
Eli was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubbies and Washington Redskins. He loved to watch his West Virginia Mountaineers.
Mr. Wilt is survived by his daughters, Rhonda M. Oja and husband Terry, of Negaunee, MI, and Michelle S. Griffith and husband Scott of Charles Town, WV; his sons, Jonathan E. Wilt and wife Tracy of Murfreesboro, TN, and Christopher E. Wilt of Murfreesboro, TN; grandchildren, Patrick E. Oja and his wife Rebecca of Colorado City, CO, Caleb E. Oja of Negaunee MI, and Paxton E. Wilt of Murfreesboro, TN; one great-grandchild, Oliver E. Oja of Colorado City, CO; three brothers, David C. Wilt and wife Susan of Ranson WV, Thomas E. Wilt and wife Faylee of Charles Town, WV, and Sterling G. Wilt and wife Bobbie of Charles Town, WV; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Doris Nicewarner and Iva Maxine Wilt; brothers, Larry Daniel Wilt and two infant brothers; and the mother of his children, Sara G. (Shaw) Wilt.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in West Virginia.
