EVELYN ANN SIMS, age 82 of Murfreesboro, Tennessee died Tuesday at Sunnington Place. She was a native of the Barfield Community and the daughter of the late Dewitt & Bennie Mae Taylor Sims. She is survived by her brother, Harry Sims of Murfreesboro; nephews, Lynn Wallace, Melvin Wallace and Jimmy Robertson of Murfreesboro; nieces, Jane Wallace Jones of Murfreesboro, Patsy Derr of North Carolina, Sandra Henry and Teresa Ann Chiles of Pulaski, Tn. Ms. Sims was preceded in death by her sisters, Hazel Turrentine, Nell Robertson, and Mary Sue Wallace. Funeral services will be at 3 pm Sunday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Rev. Fred Hembree officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 1-3 pm Sunday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Ms. Sims was a member of St. Marks United Methodist Church, a 1942 graduate of Murfreesboro Central High School and retired from the Bookstore at Middle Tennessee State University.
