EVELYN M. SANFORD, age 92, of Antioch, died July 7, 2011. Mrs. Sanford was a native of Davidson Co., and daughter of the late John H. and Audrey Williams Moore. A graveside service will be held Saturday at 3:00 PM at Mapleview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 3:00 PM Saturday at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna. Mrs. Sanford is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Malcolm ( Aileen) Williamson of Smyrna, and Miss Mary Moore of Antioch; and a niece, Mrs. Fred (Diane) Burks of Nashville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Burns Sanford and a brother, William H. Moore. Mrs. Sanford was a member and elder of Lavergne Presbyterian Church and a retired Metro school teacher. She attended George Peabody College and graduated from MTSU. She was a member of the State and Metro Retired Teachers Association, Allied Arts of Donelson, Smyrna Garden Club, and the Reviewers Book Club.
