Evelyn F. Dean was born on July 1, 1917 in Ada, Oklahoma, and went to be with the Lord on May 5, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years James T. Dean, parents James L. and Surenna Revell, brother Virgil Revell, sister Viola May Grant and sister Iline Speaks. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law James T. Dean, Jr. and Donna of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, daughter and son-in law Virginia Chambers and Reverend Craig Chambers of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, three grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She raised her family in Grand Prairie, Texas, and worked for the Dallas Independent School District for 23 years. Her faith was strong, and she loved family. She was heavily involved in the caring for loved ones over the years. She was described as having a green thumb and loved to garden and grow flowers. The family will receive friends at a visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at Allen Family Funeral Options. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Allen Family Funeral Options, Plano, Texas. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, your favorite charity, or to your particular church.
