EVELYN WEST BROWN, age 89 of Murfreesboro died Saturday March 26, 2011. She was born in Walter Hill, TN and was the daughter of the late Carl and Lorene West. Evelyn attended local schools, McFadden, Crichlow, and Central High. She was a graduate from Tennessee College for Woman in 1943 and taught for one year at Smyrna High School. She then worked two years in Chattanooga for TVA and went on to earn her M.S. degree in Veterinary Microbiology at the University of Maryland. She retired after thirty years of service with U.S.D.A. in animal disease diagnosed laboratory work. She lived in Lexington KY since 1952 and was member of the Broadway Christian Church. She will be remembered by those who know her for her lifelong dedication to the support of pro-animal rights and treatment. Evelyn is survived by cousins Terry West and wife Mary of Murfreesboro, and Robert Coleman and wife Emily of Franklin TN. Graveside services will be 11:00AM Friday at Evergreen Cemetery.
