Obituary

Evelyn "Shell" Baltimore Hilliard, age 87 went home to be with our lord on June 30, 2018. She  was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. "Buddy" Hilliard; parents, Ethel and Jim Baltimore; grandmother, Matt Brandon; sisters, Thelma Baltimore, Margie Jones, Riller Wallace, Ann Layhew, Zada Smythia, Jimmie Burgess; brothers, Varner, Haynes, Pete, Jesse, and Howard Baltimore. Mrs. Hilliard was a native of Murfreesboro, she and her husband moved to Nashville in 1949. While living in Nashville she taught the youth in Sunday school and Church Training at Radnor Baptist Church, and taught Ladies Sunday School Class at Antioch Baptist Church. Mrs. Hilliard and her husband returned to Murfreesboro in 1976. She was Secretary and charter member of Westwood Baptist Church. Mrs. Hilliard was a devoted Christian.

She is survived by her sons, Russell Hilliard and wife Billie of Murfreesboro, David Hilliard and wife Terry of Nashville; grandchildren, Brad Hilliard and wife Desiree of Oregon, Than Hilliard of Nashville, Christan Embry of Nashville; great-grandchidlen,Jaden, Brooklyn, and Austin; sister, Alberta Gannon of Murfreesboro.

Visitation will be 4PM-8PM Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be 10AM Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Butch Baltimore and Brad Hilliard officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. www.woodfinchapel.com
