Mr. Eugene Draper, Sr., age 79, of LaVergne, TN passed away Thursday, December 8, 2016. He was born in Tillery, NC to the late Julian and Leila Draper. Mr. Draper received his associate's degree in architectural drawing. He proudly served his country in the United States Army for over 20 years with three tours of duty to Viet Nam.

Mr. Draper is survived by his wife of 60 years, Peggy Draper; two sons, Gene Draper, Jr. of Appleton, WI and David Draper of LaVergne; five grandchildren, David Draper, Jr. of LaFayette, TN, Jacqueline Slayton and her husband Robert of Westmoreland, TN, Christopher Draper, Jr. and his wife Stephanie of Wausau, WI, Amber Schmidt and her husband John, IV of Neenah, WI, Emmylou Draper, and Spencer Draper both of Appleton, WI; and six, great-grandchildren, Autumn Leona Slayton, Lexi Draper, Christopher Draper, Jr., John Schmidt, V, Sophie Schmidt, and Eddy Schmidt.

Burial of Mr. Draper's cremated remains with full military honors will take place on Friday, December 16, 2016 at Nashville National Cemetery.
